Virtual Talent Show 2022 FAQ’s

What is a virtual talent show?

The virtual talent show will be a showcase of MHS students performing their talents! The acts will be just like always, except you’ll film your act and send the video in to be played at the final show.

Will we have to do anything in person to participate?

Nope! Safe and socially distanced, everything will happen from the comfort of your home. You will film your talent and email us the clip and then can watch your performance be played in the virtual show on April 29th!

What kind of talent can I perform?
Any talent you want! This is your chance to be creative. From dancing, to piano, to video editing and art - this show is YOUR chance to show what you do best!

How do I sign up for the talent show?
To sign up you must fill out the Virtual Talent Show Sign Up Form. This is a google form, the link for which is included in the same email as this FAQ! You must submit the form by February 21st to be included.   EXTENDED---to FEB. 22

How long can my act be?
Your act must be 2 MINUTES OR LESS. Acts submitted that are longer than two minutes may be faded out at the editor’s discretion to allow for time, so make sure your act doesn’t go over!

How do I submit the video clip of my act?
All clips will be submitted via email to Mrs. Tull’s daughter Frannie (friendly wave) who will be editing the final show. The email to submit to is moviegirlfrannie@gmail.com. Make sure your email lists your name and the name of your act so we know who it belongs to!

When do I have to have my clip submitted by?
The deadline for final clip submission is MARCH 14th. Any clips submitted after March 14th will NOT be featured in the show. This is a HARD DEADLINE and exceptions will NOT be able to be accommodated due to editing of the final show.

What happens if I submit my clip after the March 14th deadline?
If you submit after March 14th you WILL NOT be included in the Virtual Talent Show.

Can I make changes to my act/clip once it is submitted?
No. The clip you submit by no later than March 14th is the final clip and will not be able to be altered after that date.

Can I use copyrighted songs/music in my act?
Yes! Any and all school appropriate music will be acceptable for the virtual talent show.  All lyrics and themes  must be SCHOOL APPROPRIATE. If your act does not meet school appropriate standards it will not be featured in the show.

When is the show?
The show will be streamed on Friday April 29th. More specifics will be communicated once we are closer to this date.

Who can I reach out to if I have questions?
4th/5th grade teacher Mrs. Tull and her daughter Frannie are in charge of the show. You can reach them via email at dtull@spusd.net.
