ReflectionsCategories

PTA Reflections welcomes students of all grades and abilities to explore their inner artist in one or all six arts disciplines. New academic standards require more critical thinking and problem-solving, which translates into more creativity and deeper reflection. That's why Reflections isn't just for art classes. Entries should represent students' unique creativity.

Dia de los Muertos

Dearest MHS Family,

This year, I would love to include our entire MHS Community in our Día de los Muertos / Celebrating our Ancestors Altar.

Many cultures honor and celebrate their ancestors and deceased loved ones in a variety of ways.  As we enter the holiday season, we would like to remember our dearly departed by creating an ofrenda, or altar, for El Día de los Muertos.

Dia de los Muertos cont.

We would love to include as many of our MHS families as possible.  If you would like to honor a deceased loved one, please email their picture to: emarin@spusd.net.

We will need all photos by Wednesday, October 26th.  (We are printing all emailed photos so that your originals do not get damaged)

Dia de los Muertos cont.

The attached image is of our TK/K Día de los Muertos 2021 Altar.  We hope to include your loved ones this year.

With much gratitude,
Maestra Marin

Creating design systems within small teams
12pm
Rilley Fathese

One of the most important things that designers can do is to create and maintain design systems. Design systems provide a shared set of standards and patterns that can be used by all members of a team. They help to ensure that everyone is on the same page, and they can save a lot of time and frustration in the long run.

Learn what makes a design sprint successful

Design sprints are all the rage these days, and it's easy to see why. After all, who wouldn't want to compress months of work into a single week? However, successfully completing a design sprint requires more than just a willingness to work long hours. In order to be successful, you need to understand the basics of Design Sprinting.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
